Wandzura was born on February 14 1984 and is the second born in a family of five. Her grandparents were immigrants from Poland to Canada during World War II with Polish and Ukrainian heritage. Growing up, she performed on stage for several years and was in dance competitions at Ukrainian dance festivals. Wandzura had her first stage debut in fourth grade and her instructor had to change her part hugging ‘her husband’ and just let them high 5 instead. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre.
She was running a theatre company in the basement alongside her two brothers and was the Artistic Director directing and staging puppet shows, with the aim that the show would be featured on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
