Her role on Star Trek; Picard was a dream come true and she knew acting would be her full-time career.

Growing up, Ito was very vocal, and outgoing, and with the support of her family, she used that to perfect her performance skills. She graduated with a master’s degree from Duke University and went on to pursue her master’s degree in Theatre Arts at Columbia University.
